Cedar Creek Battlefield Foundation (CCBF) offers an open house of the historic Heater House on Cedar Creek Battlefield on Saturday, May 27, 2017 from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM.  This historic house has its origins in 1760s and stood as a witness to the Battle of Cedar Creek during the Civil War.  The building offers a rare look into 18th century construction technology.   The site was known for producing apple cider and tastings of the new Solomon’s Hard Apple Cider will be available on the site. Living History reenactors will be on hand for interaction with the public.  Entrance to the field is at 8340 Valley Pike, Middletown, VA 22645

The open house and living history is free to the public.  Cider tasting is available for $1.00.
